Wounds
27 January, 2010
Author: Karla Bardanza
He compressed her wrist fiercely
for some seconds while shocked
she looked at him in pain.
His anger was no surprise for her,
she was used, she had already
learned his love.
Hurt she didn’t defend herself.
A punch on the nose, some slaps,
another punch and another and
another…
She didn’t know what to do.
What would be the next step?
She fell on the floor bleeding.
This time the impact was difficult
to bear. She crawled but he beat
her again and again.
When she regained consciousness,
she was in hospital.
He didn’t know but he killed her.
She still mourns the woman she was.
