i love her
and so i must be better for her
i'm sick with guilt
but i'm only guilty of being sick
so to overcome
i must try to heal
if i fail
i lose hope in love
i must let my heart drive me
and yet prevent it from driving me completely insane
if my mind overcomes my heart
if i continue to spiral
down into my own private abyss
then the sickness wins
and i can't stand for that
i won't
because i love her
like no one has ever loved another
like my life depends on it
because it does
and so i have opened all the closed doors
doors that have been locked for far too long
to let the darkness out
and let the love win
once again
so that she can see
i love her
