Safe Right Here

Weighing me down,
as she watched me drown.
In my own pain,
so unsure I'd see the surface again.
Today I discard,
those things that I was certain had left me scarred.
Like snowflakes they melt before my very eyes,
so much hurt, deceit and lies.
Akin to a strand of hair,
I espy my heartache float through the air.
Smiling warmly as I feel ready to breathe again,
blowing away my sadness and pain.
With all my heart,
I eagerly embrace this new start.
That life has given to me,
from the shackles of hurt finally I fly free.
Wisps of my life away with the wind blow,
I kiss them goodbye and watch them go.
Peace that I craved,
an Angel hands to me telling me I've been saved.
Her Bambi eyes,
that know no lies.
As she whispers in my ear,
you'll always be SAFE RIGHT HERE!!
