Out Of Context

i'm trying to regain the use of a lot of those abilities in myself now
i put so much time into being the man that she wanted that i let go parts of myself in the process
i didn't keep my spiritual channels properly open because my beliefs were something she didn't share
and so i only practiced anything privately
and that was nearly impossible to achieve since we were rarely apart
other than while i was at work and i had little time for that at work
because i had my respective job to do
i've been getting better centered every day since i've been away though
part of the reason for the new tattoo
it symbolizes a promise to myself to never let go of that aspect of my life ever again
------- Author's Notes -------
a piece of a conversation with a friend, just my part, taken "out of context", but still beautiful and poetic |
