Swirling Swirling
22 February, 2010
Author: Elizabeth Squires
swirling
swirling
ever swirling
into the eye of the sea
rolling
rolling
ever rolling
to the fathoms deep
sweeping mirk gathers there
capturing all that sinks
wooden hulls and seagulls
buried low beneath
dark is this place
and none return
they're victims
forever more
swirling
swirling
ever swirling
rolling
rolling
ever rolling
down to the fathoms floor
