Imagination Recaptured
23 March, 2010
Author: Miztrebor
The clouds look like clouds,
And the stars look like stars
After years and years of living.
Once they had been dragons
And castles large,
Aliens from Mars and
Pirate ships sailing afar.
Whatever happened to those days
Back when imagination meant something?
"Now imagine a time like this"
We are told,
But there's nothing to grasp,
There is nothing we can hold.
As kids we could do that,
We could think it up and believe.
Now after years and years of living,
We want nothing but to succeed.
We have lost touch with the clouds,
We have lost touch with the stars,
We don't see aliens traveling from Mars.
Lay down some time,
On a cheerful spring day.
Watch the clouds pass you by,
Watch the dragons in their parade.
