Sometimes
30 March, 2010
Author: LAR
Sometimes the emotion called love
doesn't result in a victory for those involved.
Rather, they are found to be but observers
in the clever ways of life.
Perhaps they learn from that,
but perhaps they fail to see all there is to see
alongside those twisted runways of the heart.
But the wise would be those who accept things
that cannot be forced or bent to their own desires,
however painful that might seem to be.
Sometimes what is held in the hand
is not thought be be enough,
and sometimes it simply must be enough.
Better to enjoy what is,
than to hunger after what never will be.
