I'm Gonna Lay It Down
8 April, 2010
Author: LAR
There's gonna be so much left undone
when I finally end my run.
It hasn't always been such a great time,
but it was the only ride I had.
In deals that I've been part of,
I've traded pieces of myself,
because I had no other options,
so I tried to compromise.
Life is not a simple thing,
and it's not like in the movies,
and you wonder why it's like this,
when it all comes back around.
It wasn't supposed to happen
the way it happened,
but it did.
Which begs a question...
What's next?
or
What's left?
or
Why not?
