Rising Phoenix

Author: Devilyangelic
Crumbling to pieces,
as this pain never ceases.
Craving inner steel,
still weak as a kitten I continue to feel.
Coming undone I start to unravel,
my life grazed as if I'd embraced gravel.
Inner peace will you ever be mine,
as I fall to my knees time after time.
Tumbling into an abyss,
won't an Angel save me from this?
With my broken heart I see,
a face of sweet sincerity.
Blinding me with her light,
she elevates me as I hold on tight.
My tears she catches as each one falls,
she whispers I love you and entwined are our souls.
Pain and hurt beneath me they lay,
as my flailing arms begin to splay.
To embrace love I am prepared,
tired of being so scared.
Flames I escape just in time,
as she gives me the courage to reach for what's mine.
Bouncing back from every one of their kicks,
safe in her wings is this RISING PHOENIX!!!
