Sometimes in life we make decisions,
Say things, do things and believe things
That at the time seem well thought out,
Well intentioned and appropriate

In hindsight that is not always the case
Looking back, what we thought to be right
May have been at that moment,
But does not stand the test of time


Most times we set out to do the right thing,
But is the right thing today
The right thing for tomorrow?
Is it smarter to make decisions when "caught up in the moment",
Or do you sit back and not react until "cooler heads prevail"?

Unfortunately, sometimes happens all too often
Sometimes happens every day, at any given moment
And we are faced with making choices and decisions
That cannot wait for cooler heads

What do you do when sometimes happens
And the reaction you have, in looking back,
Is the wrong reaction?
Sometimes, sometimes can lead to life altering decisions
That are not easily forgivable
And comments that may be too hurtful to ever forget

All we can hope is
That when sometimes happens
We are good enough, smart enough and strong enough
To make the right decisions and have the right reactions
And, if we aren't, we can hope that the sometimes decision
Doesn't wind up costing us too dearly in the long run

Sometimes holds infinite possibilities
And we live or lives hoping that
Those sometimes moments work out in our favor
More often than not
