Vision is the ability to open your eyes
And see the world as it is all around you
But, vision is also so much more
It is seeing the world not just as it is already
But, the ability to see it as it could be

Most people go thru life thinking the world is as it is
That nothing they can do will change it significantly
Others open their eyes and have the vision
To see what can be and what they can do to make it so

We are also all guilty, from time to time,
Of losing our vision
Losing the ability to see what is true
Losing the ability to see things as they really are
We see the things around us the way we want to see them
Losing the vision of what actually is

When we wake to reality, it can be extremely painful
The relationship we were in isn't right,
The job we have is making us unhappy,
The friends we thought we could rely on were not there in times of need,
The health we thought we had really wasn't true

So, when we wake up to reality
What do we do with our lives?
Do we continue on the path we are already headed down,
Or do we reverse course
And regain our vision of what could still be?

These answers come with time
Time and the vision we all have
Of what we want our lives to be

It is within us all...
The vision to see the world as it is
And the vision to see the world as we would like it to be
It is up to each individual to live up to their own visions
Visions of life,
Visions of love
And visions or happiness

When we are all able to see the world as we want it to be
And start living our lives so that we can make ourselves happy,
Then, and only then, will our visions become realities
