Ephemeral Moments
24 June, 2010
Author: Pondering Red
Snows falling -
joyous drops
of whiteness.
falling
falling
tumbling
playful.
Pleasant to watch -
my theatre of entertainment,
wonderous winter excitement.
As the flakes fall
they begin to dissolve,
many land on the ground,
layer after layer -
hills and slopes of
ephemeral displays.
She smiles
for just awhile.
Her joy stays longer,
lingers throughout the day.
It is all ephemeral -
changing
transforming
every moment
every second
every infinite change
not lasting
evolving
into other moments,
into future moments.
The snow keeps falling.
If she films it,
she can rewind and see
the snows going upwards,
going to the skies -
back into time.
She feels her cheeks reddened,
her hat and scarf full of
white sticky snow.
And
she smiles,
a huge smile,
but for
just a
tiny

and it dissolves
like the snows.

Tarna (75.16.232.3) -- Friday, September 3 2010, 10:22 pm I love the places your writing takes me... It makes my heart dance. It takes me right into the places you write of.. If I close my eyes I feel I am there. That is great writing... I am so glad you share your works here... No matter if it is snowing or now... :) |
