I Love You Dad
2 July, 2010
Author: Angel Laney
I love you Dad,
You gave me life and you gave me my nose
I am your daughter
You let everyone know
You had faith in me
When no one else did
You gave me everything
When you thought you had nothing to give
You are so rare and true
And I am so proud to look so much like you!
You've gone to sleep
Now you feel no more pain
Your memories are all that I can keep
Till I see you again
Love,
Your funny little catfish,
Angel Dawn Laney

He is forever in your heart...Blessings! Namaste Love you, Aunt-Terrie |
Mark Spencer (66.158.178.120) -- Thursday, July 8 2010, 03:17 am The only opportunity I had to get to know your dad, was during the time he dated Lori Ann. Even then, he didn't talk a lot about his life. We talked mostly about song writing, as that was something we had in common. I can understand why he didn't say a lot about his kids, beyond the fact that he had kids. Ben was a poet, and a good one. And being a poet myself, I know that there are certain emotions that words just can't do justice to. How can a man "say" I love my daughter and expect words to convey the full measure of his love? They can't...I know that...and so did Ben. But words no longer hinder your dad's expression. He is all around you with a love that shakes the very foundation of creation. Listen with your heart...and you'll hear him sing like angels. God bless. |
