Decisions can be made by us or for us,
By choice or by circumstance
How these choices are made can be entirely up to you
And how you react to the ones that are not can determine a lot

Some people are happy to sit back and allow everything to be decided for them
Happy to let things run their course and react to whatever happens
Others take life by the horns
And not allow circumstances surrounding them to determine their fate

The happiest people seem to be the ones
That can find a balance between the two
They can live their lives and make the decisions that need to be made
While allowing the world around them to evolve at the same time

But, what do you do when you are too scared to make a decision,
Or, too afraid of the consequences of that decision?
What do you do when inaction is the decision you make,
And ultimately that keeps you from moving forward?

Where do you turn when the decisions you need to make will be life changing?
Where do you go when the decision is so important that you cannot shrink from it?
Where do you go when there is no one but you that can make the decision,
And inaction is not an option?

There are times in your life that you have to look in the mirror,
Take ownership of your own life and make the decision that no one can help you with
Times that you need to "be a man" and make the tough decisions

It is ok to seek the opinion of friends and family
They can often offer a perspective that you may not have considered
But, at the end of the day, you need to be the one responsible for your own life
No one can tell you what the correct decision is for you,
Only you can know that

Will you always make the right decisions?
Absolutely not!
All you can hope is that the decisions you do make
Are the right ones for that particular moment in time

Remember this...
There are very few decisions in life that cannot be reversed
There are very few times that what you decide today cannot be redone tomorrow
Look in the mirror, ask the tough questions and make the tough decisions
Don't be afraid of them,
Those decisions may make you the person you have always wanted to be
And allow you to live the life you have always wanted to live
