Loneliness affects all of us from time to time
We feel alone and that there is no one that can help us
Alone in a world full of people
And alone in our thoughts and feelings

But, what do you do when you know there are people around you
People that care about you and want to help
And yet you feel all alone?

You feel alone because the people around you can't help,
Though they would do anything to do so
You know they would go thru walls to help if they could,
But the troubles you are facing cannot be solved by anything but time

What do you do when this is the case?
How do you tell those people that you appreciate all they want to do,
But you know that there is nothing to do but wait?
How do you explain to them that their care and concern are enough
Yet their care and concern is also something that makes you feel more alone?

Feeling alone can be the scariest feeling in the world
Especially when you feel that way, but know that you are not alone
Being surrounded by people that care about you and love you
Is one of the most reassuring feelngs in the world
What do you do when that isn't enough?
What do you do in those times?

Unfortunately, the only answer to these questions is time
Time for the answers to come to you,
Time for "all wounds to heal",
Time for your knowledge to catch up to your hope
Just don't lose that hope while you are waiting

The wait can be agonizingly long at times,
But know that, in the end, the answers will be there
And your loneliness will fade

Never fear that the people around you that care, that really care,
Will not be there when you come out the other side
They understand your loneliness better than you think,
And they know that you will come out stronger than when you started

Give yourlelf time to be alone
Time to sort out what you are going thru
Ask for help when you need it,
But don't get frustrated when the people around you
Try to help even when you know they can't
