Circle Of Tears
6 July, 2010
Author: Pondering Red
she walks the busy downtown
sidewalks of decades ago -
a young and confused girl,
who walked and walked,
searching for relief,
for something she is still looking for...
i could cry for that girl -
full of anxiety, on her own,
pretty, full of hope, living dangerously
in the moment of not thinking
about the future -
life rushing into her -
crazy men and crazy times
of little enjoyment.
she was lost.
people walked by her -
through her -
poor girl -
i want to tell her some things,
gently...
she strayed into negative areas.
i miss her.
i don't know her.
i want her to know love
and stop walking the streets
of concrete.
hard souls surround her.
she is lost.
i want to find her
and dry her tears
and tell her
she will
always
be beautiful...

I sometimes wonder what I would tell myself if I could meet me back then. Realizing that though we have moved on we are still that same person underneath.. Soul Searching may not be what the poem is about but if it is, you are very beautiful in my book.. |
