Six Hundred Miles And Lots Of Smiles
17 August, 2001
Author: Don Fraser
To many miles and tears have gone by
I can't tell you it all, but I'm sure gonna try
I was born in Berkeley
Since then many things have happened to me
I have been everything from a truck driver to a salesman
When a boss asked me to something I answered I will if I can
I have seen this country from the seat of a truck
I have ridden horses When they buck
I have sold stuff that folks don't need
Only to satisfy my greed
I have had two wives to each I was true
Not many truck drivers can say that. Can you?
I am kind of proud of the life I lead
I never lie around in bed
I work very hard
My duties I never discard
My kids are grown now
They turned out great I don't know how
They have kid's of their own
I have been a success. I say that on that fact alone.
