mourning breaks
first cracks of light
shining in hopes of future's certainty
the unknown refreshing
we still left to wonder

courageous spirits
unafraid and faithful
it will always be there
when I need it

what will become of are home known as earth
will it disappear turning into dusted memories
puzzling pieces of thoughts
left to roam
this place empty with spirits
longing for a safe place
resting peace is for souls

cowardly hearts do tell lies
for the truth is blinding

trapped with broken wings
of what is too come
life unfolds and is gone

unsung heroes
above and beyond
duty calls
answering
things that must be done

will life ever reveal it's beautiful truth
maybe in the next life we'll know
where home is in God's eyes
reflecting images, spirits believe
mattering differences between the spirited and the spiritless

day and night
come and go
time travels past
where it is
between dreams
a mysterious path
through darkness souls sleeps and grows
waiting for a new light to flash
clarity
