Labyrinth

vinebar

staring into nothing
blinded by the dark,
hearing faint whispers
telling you of a journey you must embark,

Traveling through this twisted labyrinth
dark secrets are hidden along the path,
a puzzle with missing pieces
frustration shows its wrath,

questions go un-answered
like the pieces you'll never see,
lost in the mystery of this strange world
and fears you can never flee,

Traveling through this twisted labyrinth,
looking for something you may never find,
i know you've been to this hidden place
some people call it their mind...

Reminds me of

Jorge Luis Borges' "The Garden of Forking Paths." All that story talked about was labyrinths.

The mind is indeed like that. There's always something going on up there. Thoughts are like traffic jams in the head.

Great write Carny.
