Writer's Lament
24 September, 2010
Author: David Bard
Muses awaken. Alight
upon these darkened sills,
remove the pall which obscures
lustrous lucidity. Visions I desire
from frothy seas, churning insubstantially.
Rebirth, nothing less I seek, immortal souls
entreat me with resonate voices, and
passionate pleas. Unveil the noble
sculpture of my mind. Guide this
mighty sword to strike fiercely
into stoic hearts. Baring my
soul to alabaster teeth, a
feast for the starving.
Raw flesh and bone
devoured, if only
to be judged a
worthy tender
indeed.
