Where Is My today
18 July, 2003
Author: Dorothy C. Fox
What is so different from my "yesterday?"
Today I try to bake a pie;
no ingredients, says I,
Living in this house with not much to do,
I can't raise a "fuss" 'cause nobody cares.
I'm my "onself" and must be content with that,
even though my hair looks like a "rats" nest,
but then, a shower will take care of that
and I give a sigh?
Will anything delight my eye?
Today the sun is shining brightly as it as it did so long ago,
when my love awoke me from a deep sleep and said,
"it's time to go"...
get up, my love, get up, it's married we shall be today,
and I mutter, "no way"....to work I must go.
But Well, to make a long story short,
get up and did, and married we were that day, so long ago.
He's in Heaven now, as I await my time to go,
to start my new "Today".......
Will it be any different from my yesterday?
