Capturing Memories
31 October, 2010
Author: Chris G Vaillancourt
I have captured memories from you
which I shall place inside my heart
and never forget.
Seeking back the years we have
been something good to one another
I touch base with my emotions
and they are free of commitment.
So I laugh at other people
who tell me they are in love.
I smile when they mutter
their words of devotion.
I know that this feeling shall pass.
I know they shall never love the
same as they do at the beginning.
So I ridicule the concept that
true love lasts forever or that
true love never dies.
It is not true, I know this after
loving you.
