My History Relived
3 July, 2003
Author: Dorothy C. Fox
So many years ago when I was just a small tot,
my parents made a major change in our lives,
moved from a wonderful home town in the south,
to a brutal cold north
where "shivery" took the place of "civilry",
Didn't know the difference,
they kept me well-dressed in this cold weather,
so recently, I returned to this land ofmy birth
and found I could not history reverse,
A Northener am I, and proud of that I be,
listening to the charming accents was quite nice,
but I must return to the land of "ice"
for that is where I now belong,
and I sing a different song.
