Humanities Lost Serenity

Author: Fallen_Angel
The innocent chirping of birds smothered by humanity,
It seems to me, the traffic of mankind is burying all peace.
The taste of despair slithering down my tongue,
It is as if I can smell the very scent of my confusion.
As the bitter air fills with burnt rubber and gasoline
I hear the once peaceful mountain roads of cascade being buried.
Propping myself upon a red bolder,
My feet submerged into the sandy hot springs.
This is where nature sings
And if for just this moment,
I feel as if Mother Nature is caressing me.
Though the bells and horns of humanities ruckus
Continues to penetrate my ear drums
To the hectic life, mankind has created, for just this moment I have become numb.
Finding my peace and serenity, inside the haze and beauty
That surrounds me in nature’s trees but is sometimes hard to see.
As the scorching sun penetrates my skin,
it feels as if I hold a magnifying glass and am looking in.
I’m looking into myself into past and to the future, and where to begin.
