Today, I look upon my life,
no longer full of strife.
married, but not married
with husband ill and away.
But our marriage has been so strong,
fifty seven years long,
that my prayer is for us
to once more be the partners God chose for us.
But perhaps this is better.
We are still alive, but not together.
Our love developed through the years is strong,
and it can't be wrong.
Today, I look upon my life,
secure and without strife.
But, am I still a wife?
