If my heart could speak
What would it say?
Would it confirm to me
What I ask it each day,
Would it tell me that we
are two halves of a whole
and that in your eyes
there lies my soul,
Would it explain all things
especially this
why I become hopelessly
lost in your kiss,
Would it tell me the reason
I carry a flame
that will only ignite
to the sound of your name,
Would it explain to me how
you light up my day
and warm up my nights
with all that you say
or would it simply confirm
what I know to be true
that it and I
are in love with you
you've given me a reason
to smile once again,
and I want you to know you've become my best friend.
You've shared your heartfelt secrets
and your trust you've given me,
you showed me how to feel again
to laugh, and love, and see.
You bring a joy to my heart,
I've never felt before,
With each touch of your hand,
I love you more and more.
Whenever we have to say goodbye,
Whenever we have to part,
Know I hold you dearly,
Deep down inside my heart.
I'll tell it rather simply;
I'll say it plain and true-
A single thing is all I want
And that single thing is YOU
So these seven words,
I pray you hold true,
"Forever and Always,
I Will Love You."
