The Flowers Of Youth
31 March, 2011
Author: Elizabeth Squires
the flowers of youth
cut down too soon
their potential
stolen in war room
never their flowers
to see a new dawn
forever their bodies
interred under lawn
blooms wasted
colours spent
the futility of war
a nonsensical bent
