Routine
1 April, 2011
Author: Elizabeth Squires
for the day to be filled
with something exciting
the mundane
everyday
so uninviting
in familiar rut
bogged down
in a groove
therein stuck
and the world passes by
the boredom
brings a tear to the eye
around and around
no variation
in the tune
tea at six
lunch at noon
oh to taste something new
instead of being here
oh how drear
