Memories

Author: Dorothy C. Fox
Today as we glimpse a grey sky
I remember days gone by;
the tragedy of death conspired
by an evil entity without soul
leaving such pain as each day
unfolds.
The awfulness of the smoke in
the sky after the attack was
done no can comprehend.
Can our hearts ever mend? The
young man standing in Wall Street
so full of sorrow, no compassion
can reach.
The days go by and life goes on;
can we ever breach the pain and
life be the same?
Today we pray for our hearts to mend
but can the sadness ever be gone
as I glimpse the greyness of the sky
today. All I can do now is pray
and ask the World to join in and for God to once
again bless America.
