Lost Holiday
15 May, 2011

Another Mother's day come and gone
Guess he didn't remember his child she reared
Alone she silently cries for the forgotten years
Heartbreaks reawakened, hurts revisited
Thoughtlessness destroyed yet another day
"You're not my mother" he teases
But the humor is lost to her

Another little part of her hides away
Pushing the pain aside she makes nice
Cooking the dinner, cleaning the house
Underneath contemplating another time
A long ago... and a future
Holding on to what ever she can
To make it through another lost holiday
