Twenty Two Years Ago

I still have the kleenex
she cried in
it still has her eye liner on them.
i remember she cried like the rain
memories forged like smudges
on windows inside a pane.
twenty two years ago
she wept on my shoulder
she wanted me back
the emotions weighed like a boulder.
