You

You want to see me fall
You want to see me fail
You’re waiting and hoping
Silently
As you smile and speak to me
You want me to see my downfall
So you can pick me up
You want me to mess myself up
You want me to have a bad reputation
You don’t like me
But you pretend you do
But I know that you
Are like tissue paper
One can see right through you
You’re a tiger
Your spots are showing
You can’t stand me
Though I’ve done nothing to you
You sit back
Praying that I do something
You can gossip about
You want my name to go bad
You kill me with your eyes
Wearing a good disguise
Sometimes I can’t tell
Who you are
What you’re about
Sometimes you camouflage so well
Blending in with the good
You’d crush me if you could
You’d probably put your thoughts into action
Your love for me is but a small fraction
I already know it’s what you want
While I can do nothing
To make you like me
Even if I gave you rent money
You’d still hope and pray
That your prayer of me falling
Comes true one day
You judge me from your seat
Thinking I'm better than everybody else
Not having the slightest clue
How further from the truth you are
You'll never get to know me
Assuming me isn't knowing me
None of us can judge by what we see
So while you're steady being unreal
You'll never know undoubtedly
That who I am differs from how you feel
