The Nickel Calling The Penny Cheap
9 June, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
How can I call your name out
When I’m guilty of the same thing
How serious would you take me
You’d look at me incredulously
And say
Look who’s talking
Can’t blame you
For walking
Away from me
How can the nickel name call
When it’s no different than the penny
That’s like the pot
Calling the kettle black
Makes no sense
To overlook the person in the mirror
Makes no sense
For me to think I’m exempt
From flaws
Makes no sense
At all
How can I see you
And not see me
How oblivious
Can I be
It isn’t right
For anyone
To think
They’re an exception
To exemption
