Drag That Leg
9 June, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
Drag that leg
Put one foot in front of the other
Komm!
Haltest du nicht!
As the Germans say
Move on
Can’t change the past
Can’t undo
What’s done already
Be steady
Don’t fall apart
Like confetti
Drag that leg
Take it slow
Breathe easy
You’ll make it
Learn from those
Mistakes
Learn from those
Unknowledgeable moments
Miscommunication moments
And misinformation moments
Learn from those
Dysfunctional moments
Disorganized moments
Unprepared moments
Speak up
During unfair moments
Learn from those
Relapse moments
Those forgetful moments
Those lack of
Retention moments
Treasure those
Divine intervention moments
Learn from those
Lack of
Understanding moments
And consider some
Reprimanding moments
Rehabilitate
Recover
Bounce back my friend
You were young
Hope your experiences
Taught you better
So that the next
Similar encounter
Will be a breeze
Now stand at ease
...and...
Drag that leg
Take it one step at a time
Improve
Enhance
Your performance
And take this
Fortune cookie with you
You’re not perfect child
But you can drag that leg
An extra mile
Don’t give up
Don’t die like this
Get up soldier
Look at your fists
And repeat after this
I
Was
Young
But
Now
I’m
Older
I’ll
Learn
Until
My
Death
And
There’s
Nothing
Nobody
Can
Do
About
It.
