Concealed Feelings

If you..
hold my thoughts close
to feel what goes inside of me
the heartbeats that matched
once.. with yours
beat now all alone...
in silent rhapsody.....
And if you..
.. ever in your thoughts...
find me looking up at you..
..to search in your eyes..
what now is hidden..unseen....
would you dare to lock my gaze
with yours..would you?
For I would not make you read volumes
of sadness...a broken heart..
cos you don't want to...
But I will break that empty gaze
to show a different me to you
the way you want of me to be.....
Pages of my soul..tattered .closed
in the end..what remains...
and are left ..with me..
are my feelings of you...
pure..untouched...unread but true......
feelings that I ought not.. bare to you.

This poem was written 6 months back - From loving someone to going back to just being friends..was very tough on the heart. |
