New Chapter

Saved by grace through faith,
God told me you need a new you,
stop dabbling with darkness and voodoo.

I lied I cheated, I was an undercover actor with no awards.
I was high and thought I was righteous but in truth I was the biggest fool.

I had chips on both shoulders, the drink and drugs were making this young man look older.

Time was seeking into my skin
indicating how long I had been Lost.

Legal prescriptions were leading me to a legal addiction, I was one big walking contradiction.

I was Lucifer s apostle, I was on his side because he kept giving me drugs and passing me the bottle.

Heading towards destruction, before your eyes I was a crumbling construction.

No meaning, empty dark hole with no glimpses of light,
no switch on my head to make things bright.

Doubt would creep in every second of everyday, give in to Satan or stay?
Keep talking to God or end up 6ft under in a grave?

I was a sleeper with my eyes open,
when all along Jesus was offering me the world biggest token.

Sins wiped, sent back to the factory and repackaged to the world.
Given a gift of writing so my praises to our lord can be heard.

I was never a plus, more a subtractor....now with God in my life its time to start a new chapter
