I Love The Rain
4 July, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
I love the rain
I love the sheets
I love the crackling of the thunder
Lightning is scary
Then again so is the downpour
Especially when I’m out and about
Car’s too low and water collects
Til puddles connect
Was so scared one time
Had to pull over
Vision was blurred
Rain-X was in the back
Didn’t make much sense
To coat it on
After the fact
I’d rather look out my window
And see the downpour
How the wind chimes in
Blowing the trees from
Left to right
Rather than being in my car
And feeling the wind
Steer my car across the bridge
I love the rain
Only when it’s rain
Rather hear thundering from my bed
And watch lightning from inside
Or when the flash from outside
Lights up my room
Than being out in the inclemency
Something bout that drumming
On the roof
Suspends me
Something bout that chorus of rain
Falling all over town
Makes me fall in love
With the sound
