The way I feel with you on my mind
Is the same way that a child feels
When they awake on Christmas morning
To the whole world their eyes are blind

Looking into your eyes takes me places
Only described in the setting of fairy tales.
Holding onto every moment for a second longer
Creating a lasting memory of your tight embraces

A desire burns inside my soul
Warming like a fall campfire
To learn more about you
Both of us working towards one goal

To hold your hand in mine frees me
From the stress and worries of the day.
You take me to a peaceful place, filled with joy
Like the waves crashing on the shore of the sea.

You bring the world to me free of darkness and gloom
Allowing me to see the trueness in your heart
Showing me again how to be happy and carefree
Lighting up the world like the first spring bloom
