Open Eyes
23 July, 2011
Author: Tarna
So tired, in need of rest
exuberance fading
a dreamer's facade brought to light
in reality's brightness I close my eyes
What was will never be again
the mist fades to darkness
watching it dim into the distance
I will miss the touches of the dream
Hints of loss edge the corners
a mind in exhaustion
life remains so full of yesterdays
I wonder, will the future miss the past
