What Is Just Is
2 August, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
Acting oblivious to the obvious
Denying and lying
If the truth punched me in the face
Then I had to feel it
Had to have seen it
Known that what was, was
‘s No getting around it
No going under it
No going over it
Just accept it for what it is
A fact is a fact
And it don’t get no more
Factual than that
This ain’t opinion
You already know
But you refuse to see what’s
Visible to the eye
The light can’t get no brighter
The match can’t get no lighter
How is it that we both
Have good vision
But one of us can’t see
What’s in front of you and me
You just refuse
To see and don’t see
Hear and don’t hear
Know and don’t know
Understand and don’t understand
How can you act blinded
When you’re sound minded
Why do you refuse to see
A tree as a tree
A brick as a brick
Right as right
Wrong as wrong
Truth as truth
Come on and accept instead of reject
Especially when truth’s straight and direct
Denying might as well be lying
You and I both see the same
Through the lens in our frame
