Too Late
5 August, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
I'm dead
Never got to hear the gratitude you express now
Never knew you loved me as you claim you do now
I can't hear your so-called words of sentiment
I can't see your tributes and acts of kindness
I wonder why you waited so late to tell me, when I'm dead
Your words are meaningless
You had my whole life to show me
I am sleeping now
I can't feel what you feel
You're only talking to the people under the sound
of your voice. (I am unable to receive it).
You know how bad I wanted to see, hear, feel
those sentiments when I was able to feel?
It's too late now
I'm dead and gone
