Some Things Never Change

Some things never change
From birth to leaving this Earth
Certain things remain the same
Can't do nothing about it
Person in control of the change is to blame
You'll learn this throughout life
In time you'll see
That denial and stubbornness
Impedes progression (& maturity)
To change the mindset and behavior
Of another is a job
A job that couldn't pay enough if effective
There's just too many w/ a one-track
That's like trying to change a habit (or formality)
Valid cause for change is worthwhile
But some efforts are just futile
Wish change was easy in every way
Certain things are a struggle
If practiced every or almost every day
Wish ego or power didn't impede the flow
Wish it wasn't hard for some of us
To let things go
All of these words mentioned are cliche
And will remain that way
Til my dying day
Til forthcoming generations express
The need for change
To move the hearts of men
That change for the hopeful and doubtful
Will indeed begin
