I look at ém and I frown
Surely I can increase
Surely I can improve
Surely this ain't me
Intelligence is more
Than a score
Just gotta buckle down
And do better than before
Many chances to take
Many decisions to make
Shoot for the stars
Shoot for the moon
Work harder
Blessing's comin' soon
Shoot for the stars
Shoot for the moon
Bee anything you want to be
Fly and buzz on
Explore your possibilities
Some learn slow
Some learn fast
But who said
The turtle couldn't pass?
You ever hear
Of the tortoise and the hare?
While one competitor slept
The other one beat him there
Got the gold
Won the crown
Who said average's scores
Are destined to stay down
Who said average was average?
Dumber than the rest
Because of a few failed tests?
Who said average
Couldn't do well?
Average isn't failure
Average dreams of what could be
Struggling to turn them
Into reality
Straining to maintain
To focus her brain
Average sits down on the concrete
On the hard floor
Book opened
For the mind to absorb more
And retain the material soaked up
By the brain
Average takes longer
But knows she'll get stronger
Regardless if she's left in the wind
It's not so much about pace
But making it happen in the end
