Eat My Words
14 October, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
Shove ‘em down my throat
Make me swallow them whole
Got no choice
But to digest them
Said something
Preached about something
And am guilty of
What I thought I wouldn’t do
Chewing these tough,
Bitter bites
I face the facts
I messed up
I take the blame
Man, this tastes terrible
Serves me right
I bow my head
Regretful
Wishing I could
Take the words back
Guess it pays
To think first,
Express second,
And just
Do what I talk and believe
