The Curse

Like a reoccurring nightmare, you are there; a haunting, though not seen, your baneful presence is felt. On watch, so as not to be caught off guard; unsure for at any given moment you can unveil and leave destruction in your wake.

It’s as though a whisper of you is an incantation which conjures up your malicious agenda. Disturbed but frightened less with each sighting. I wish to rid you out my life forever; though powers I don’t possess, to cast to back to which you came.

If ever you do perish, fragments of you will linger still. I live my life knowing you are hovering over me and will always be my curse.
