Cocoon Of Shadows
12 November, 2011
Author: Bobbi Sinha-Morey
I half close my eyes
now that tomorrow
has come and my
heart remains unawake
ever since the early
glow of feelings once
subdued by care are
gone. A dark wind
falls on my skin and
I shiver, wrapped in
a cocoon of shadows.
I never feel the sun,
only the mourning
grey and it has melted
off the hope of my
youth, and faintly
darkens my lonely
room. The solemn trees
outside buried in
their clouds of leaves
are so lost in sleep.
They seldom knew
my name, and it's
too late. The bluish,
pale walls I must
face are like a stain
I can never erase.
