Lost Love
18 October, 2002
Author: Renee Houdek
As she wonders through the maze of her mind,
She holds out her hand to slow down the time.
The walls spin, the surroundings melt to the ground.
Her reality has become her illusion and
There in the middle of her chaos he stands strong,
A sturdy structure as her world crashes down around her.
She stares at him always so curious to his thoughts,
Intrigued by the fire she sees in his eyes.
She has gotten so close to feel it warm her hand,
But to afraid to burn in it,
She turns away and speeds up the time.
For she can no longer stand the pain in her heart
>From the longing to touch his face-whirled back to reality,
A single tear runs down her face
For a love she never had,
But can feel the loss;
