Climbing Mountains
17 January, 2012
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
In the dead of the night
The turmoil, that is my life, erupts
I cannot calm it, nor do i try
In my reality I thrive on the adventure
Adrenaline runs like a drug thru my veins
As I continue to climb even higher
To taste the success of reaching the top
One wrong move and it could be my last.
Life as I know it would tumble around me.
But still I endure. I want the thrill
I want to live my life on the edge.
Reaching the top; that is where I thrive.
Meeting head on the turmoil of my dreams
Knowing that they will always plague me
In the dead of the night
------- Author's Notes -------
Whether climbing mountains or just the dealing with the daily struggles, we choose them. We all search for the one that feeds our spirit with the most 'reason to be'. |
