The Rain
17 January, 2012
Author: Shan
The music of the rain
scatters through my brain
Splatter faster, clatter, clatter
Fill my window pane
Puddles gather rather fast
Drops are streaming down the drain
I hope all day this lasts
to stay day dreaming in the rain
Designs across my window
as each drop connects
I try to guess which way they'll go
But, OH that rain knows best
Each drip that drops
They plip, they plop
Each sounding different
when they stop
The melody is seldomly
boring at it's best
It's pouring, no man snoring
Listen at it starts to rest
I love days like this
The rain is just the best
