I'm Me At Last
5 February, 2012
Author: Christanie Cameron
As the days go by
I find myself smiling more
The stress I used to be under
All the time
Has now lifted
My heart was shattered
At first
But now I see that
My bad luck
Is really a blessing
In disguise
Every day that goes by
I see more and more
Of my true self emerge
For so long
I had to hide
Me from me
I had to be
Someone I'm not
But not now
I am free
I am me at last
Never again
Will I be
Who I'm not
For a man
I am finally back
And here to stay
With a light heart
And a true smile
On my face
